Mags: "So Ben, you remember how we met, right?"

Ben: "Oh yeah. I was swiping on this app, not expecting much, and then bam! There you were, claiming you loved kids but had zero plans to have any. I mean, talk about mixed signals, Mags."

Mags: "Ben, you messaged me with a line about loving to be an uncle but not wanting any either, and I thought, 'Cute, nerdy, and wants a kid-free lifestyle? I have to check this guy out.'"

Ben: "And then the big date, July 4th. Yes, I scheduled fireworks on our first date with no additional effort on my part. I show up, Mags steps out of the car looking all dressed up, and my first thought? 'Va va voom, she knows what she’s doing.' Then do you remember what happened next?"

Mags: "Of course, we ordered coffee and I proceeded to spill my drink all over the place. I'm trying to hold back laughter while you’re just standing there with a stack of napkins not sure of what to do next."

Ben: "But you know what? Like a proper team, we got ourselves together. We ended up walking around Boston Common, the conversation running smooth and easy.”

Mags: "And then, Ben starts talking about the inner workings of his favorite tech like a patent lawyer. I nod along, pretending to understand a word he's saying, when all I could do was watch his smile form little dimples on his face.

Ben: "Meanwhile, I couldn’t help noticing how easy it was to talk with her -- or at her -- and feel a sense of comfort in both of us. I wanted to see her again, and decided to sweep her off her feet with something memorable."

Mags: "As if fireworks on a first date weren’t memorable enough!"

Ben: "I led her to the carousel in the park and carried her over the railing for the thrill of a lifetime"

Mags: "It was closed, dark, and sweet! You showed off your guns and adventurous side, and at this point I was in for another date."
